Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNP) is the key state agency entrusted to spearhead the economic development and socio-economic growth in the State of Perak. PKNP’s primary goal is to spur continuous growth in the state so as to transform the economic landscape and elevate the living standards of the people.
PKNP’s approach to achieving its primary goal involves recognising and cultivating the need of strengthening its people via the attainment of high performance cultures. Combining high performance cultures and capitalising on the state’s natural resources will accelerate Perak to a new height of economic and socio-economic ideal.
In performing its roles as a state agency, PKNP and its group of companies (PKNP Group) ensures that its initiatives are aligned with the objectives of the State Agenda, National Agenda and National Transformation Programme in bringing a holistic change and sustainable growth in line with the goal to elevate Malaysia to developed-nation status by 2020.
Being a leading state agency responsible in bringing development to the State of Perak, PKNP Group has recently undertaken a strategic definition exercise for the Group to reinforce its roles and redefine its direction forward.
As part of the organisation’s 5-year Strategic Blueprint, three (3) core businesses namely Property Development, Ports & Logistics as well as Hospitality & Tourism are spearheading the development efforts in bringing economic and socio-economic impacts to the State of Perak.
Significant involvement of PKNP Group in property development, ports & logistics as well as hospitality & tourism is about to magnify with considerable progression in these core business areas including township development, logistics advancement as well as world class offerings of hospitality and tourism products and services.
