1. KINDERGARTEN / NURSERY TEACHER
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate Early Childhood Program for young children.
- Provide the opportunity for children to learn and grow as individuals.
- Plan and implement activities to meet physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program.
- Provide nutritious snacks and lunches.
- Provide adequate equipments and activities.
- Ensure equipments and the facilities are clean, well-maintained and safe at all times.
- Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities.
- Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities.
- Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts.
- Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies.
- Familiar with emergency procedures.
- Familiar with signs and symptoms of communicable diseases
- Supervise children in the PLUS CDC
- Ensure that children are supervised at all times
- Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and story telling
- Build children’s esteem
- Comfort children
- Establish routines and provide positive guidance
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
- Implement positive discipline when required
- Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand
- Observe children and make note of progress
- Integrate special needs children in a positive and respectful manner
- Communicate with parents and members of the community
- Respect families’ traditions.
- Discuss children’s development with parents
- Discuss identified problems and needs with professionals as appropriate
- Participate in activities involving parents
- Promote literacy and early education
- Maintain program administration
- Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their child’s progress
- Develop and maintain current, accurate and confidential files
- Develop daily activity plans
- Monitor the program budget
- Perform other related duties as required. You will be expected to accept reasonable flexibility in working arrangements and the allocation of duties including duties normally allocated to post at a lower responsibility level, in pursuance of raising pupil achievement and effective team working
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- At least possess Diploma in Early Childhood Education/Pre-school Education
- Able to speak English
- Good Command of Malay Language
- Familiar with technologies in pedagogy instructional design
- Attendend Kursus Asas Asuhan Kanak-Kanak – accredited by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat
- Attended Kursus Kurikulum Standard Pra Sekolah Kebangsaan – accredited Jabatan Pelajaran Negeri.
- Required skill(s): understanding of children’s cultural environment., child development and early theories and practices.
- At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
